Program Overview

The Marshall University School of Music offers a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Music Education in conjunction with the College of Education and Professional Development. Studies focus on musicianship, individual instrumental/vocal skills, and teaching pedagogy and methodology. Upon receiving the degree and passing the state-required Praxis exams, students are granted certification to teach music, Pre-K through Adult, in West Virginia and all states with which it has a reciprocal agreement.
