As an Elementary Education student at GWU, you will learn about the development stages children experience from ages five through twelve. By studying the learning characteristics of students from various cultural backgrounds and explore the unique needs of exceptional students, you will acquire useful techniques and strategies for the classroom and develop stronger skills in communication and personal relationships.
