Program Overview

BALA is a highly selective minor---unique to Queens College---that combines business leadership skills with the liberal arts. It develops advanced intellectual, entrepreneurial, and managerial abilities, equipping students for leadership roles in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. The interdisciplinary courses encourage critical thinking, problem solving, and effective writing and speaking. Students benefit from internships, mentoring, career workshops, and an annual off-campus retreat where they have a chance to network with faculty, professionals, and business leaders.
