Texas Wesleyan UniversityThe physical education program at Texas Wesleyan is a comprehensive program that was developed to set graduates of the program ahead of our institutional peers. Our program is developed around the Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE) National Standards and the Texas Essentials Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Teacher Candidates will be given the opportunity to engage with kindergarten through secondary grade levels as well as gain experience working with children with disabilities. The teacher candidate will complete course work in methodology, assessment, health, as well as skill development in child motor development, outdoor education and lifetime activities to name a few.
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 68/190/520 (internet, computer, paper-based) minimum (scores must be less than two years old), IELTS score of 6.0 minimum (must be less than two years old) or 5.0/5.5. 2.75 high school GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
