BSEd Science Education

When you graduate from Ashland University with a degree in any of our science education majors, you will be licensed to teach grades 7-12 and can expect to obtain a teaching position following graduation. While attending Ashland University, you will be in the middle or high school classroom as an observer as early as your freshman year and gradually increase your classroom time and involvement each year, culminating in your student teacher experience your senior year. Our teacher training program is regarded as one of best in Ohio and our science programs are taught by professors who are outstanding classroom teachers and well respected scientists involved in ongoing research. In other words, as a student in our science education program, you get an excellent education from two exceptional departments. Students majoring in these programs work toward a grade 7-12 license in biology/life science, chemistry, earth science, or physical science
