BS Teacher Education: Kinesiology - Physical Education (K-12)

This program will certify you to teach physical education in grades kindergarten through 12. It emphasizes real work experience, including student teaching. By integrating what you learn in the university classroom with your experiences at local schools, you'll gain the skills necessary to effectively educate the next generation.

If you’re interested in this program, you’ll apply to our Kinesiology major. This major studies human movement. Example courses include exercise physiology, biomechanics, sport psychology, and motor learning. Once you've completed your core Kinesiology courses and general education requirements, you’ll apply into the Teacher Education program. This usually happens at the end of your sophomore year.
