Program Overview

Paper Engineering is a highly specialised but important field that exists within the Materials Engineering discipline and is focussed on the transformation of raw lumber and bark into useful writing, packaging and other products. The process of creating paper is challenging and involves significant processing and bleaching of wood pulp (or similar materials) into thin sheets and it is the responsibility of a Paper Engineer to be concerned with all aspects of paper production. The two most commonly produced products are paper (obviously) and cardboard.
