Course Overview:

  • Year 1: Chemistry, First year writing, Physics, Maths, General Electives 

  • Year 2: Compuring fundamentals for Engineers, Discrete Structures, Physics Lab, CE Fundamental, General Electives, Co-op 

  • Year 3: CE Fundamentals, EE Fundamentals, Co-op, EECE technical electives, Advanced Writing 

  • Year 4: Co-op, EECE technical elective, General elective

  • Year 5 (Optional Track):

    • Additional co-op or progression to the PlusOne accelerated master’s degree.

    • Capstone Design Project: Real-world, team-based project in collaboration with industry or research sponsors.

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Co-op Program: Northeastern’s hallmark experience: two (four-year track) or three (five-year track) six-month co-op placements in leading companies across technology, defense, manufacturing, and finance sectors.

  • Capstone Design: Two-semester in your final year, senior project solving real-world engineering challenges, often sponsored by industry or research labs.

  • Undergraduate Research: Opportunities through the UPLIFT Scholars program, NSF REU, and directed study, including projects in robotics, AI, and embedded systems.
