Comparative and World Literature invites you to look creatively at literature. Your coursework will allow you to compare both literary and cultural traditions. You’ll gain critical, analytical, cultural, and foreign language knowledge. You will learn the writing and speaking skills necessary to succeed in a globalized world. You can choose from two concentrations: Comparative Literature and World Literature. Comparative Literature focuses on many traditions studied in their original languages. World Literature focuses on literature from around the world in English translation.
