By practicing language use and creative expression, writing majors better understand their own ideas and become critically conscious of writing in a digital age, on a global stage. Practice the craft of writing by taking classes in creative genres (poetry, fiction, drama, creative nonfiction) and submitting your work to TCU s eleven40seven, and to the annual Creative Writing Awards.Words have the power to persuade, entertain, and inspire.Learn about creative writing, the role of writing in public policy, political rhetoric, and the publishing industry.Apply your skills through the New Media Writing Studio and write with the latest digital technologies.Work for publishers, museums, nonprofit organizations, and campus offices to gain experience and semester credit through our Writing Internship program.
