State University of New York at PlattsburghThe B.A. English language arts provides a sound foundation for teaching literature in its rich diversity at the high school level. Our curriculum provides all the New York state subject area requirements for English 7--12 certification. After completing an M.S.T. program (in as few as three additional semesters), you will be eligible for initial certification --- and, after three years of teaching experience, professional certification.
