Program Overview

This course aims to familiarize students with the rhetorical dimensions of the Black community. It also aims to challenge them to fine tune and practice critical media literacies. Students will practice using an intersectional feminist approach to engage with how interlocking identities/oppressions, such as race, gender, class, ability and sexuality are constructed, represented, reproduced, critiqued, policed and disciplined in the larger community, contemporary pop culture and academic discourse.

Completed application either the Common Application or Curry's own Application with a non-refundable fee of $50.00, An official high school transcript, translated and evaluated, and if applicable, official GSCE examination scores, A letter of recommendation from guidance counselor or high school teacher, The recommendation may be submitted on a separate sheet or attached letter, A college essay of at least 250 words, English Language requirements:TOEFL: must be 80 or higher, IELTS: must be a 6.0 or higher
