This degree prepares students for scientific careers or graduate study in the Earth and Environmental Sciences. The curriculum includes concentrations in: (1) Public Health, Society, and Environment; (2) Geology; (3) Environmental Science; and (4) Geospatial Science. Students will gain field, laboratory, and computer skills necessary for employment in the environmental, engineering, geospatial, geologic, and public health workforce.
Application At least a 2.0 grade-point average and either a composite ACT score of 18 or a combined SAT score of 960. Applicants must provide official copies of academic records from all secondary, pre-university programs, and colleges/universities attended. TOEFL iBT: 60 or IELTS 6.0 overall. US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Science applicants are generally assessed on the rigour of their Mathematics and laboratory-science coursework. Relevant preparation may include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus or Statistics, depending on the intended field. Research, science fairs, Olympiads, laboratory exposure, independent investigation and environmental or community-science projects can demonstrate scientific curiosity and analytical thinking.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
