An Area of Emphasis in Environmental Geoscience has been developed to meet the increased demand for this sector of employment. This area accounts for 30% of all geoscientists who are currently employed in the United States. The Area of Emphasis in Environmental Geoscience utilizes an interdisciplinary curriculum which will prepare graduates for careers involving the application of geologic concepts to the solution of environmental problems.
Completed application for admission, A high school diploma (official transcript with graduation date required), An Overall Grade Point Average of at least 2.00 on a 4.00 scale and a composite score of at least 19 on the ACT or SAT equivalent; OR an Overall Grade Point Average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale and a composite score of at least 16 on the ACT or SAT equivalent, Test scores: Internet-based TOEFL score of 78 or higher, Paper-based TOEFL score of 547 or higher, IELTS score of 6.0 or higher, MELAB - minimum score of 79%.
