Bachelors in Geology

4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

SUNY Brockport

Program Overview

By learning to decipher the ways rocks form and move over time, you can read our planet’s story dating back over four billion years. Learn to plan and conduct geological surveys, analyze data, study natural resources, and assess environmental impacts.

Study the earth, its resources, and its history going back thousands —even millions — of years.

Get your start learning theory in the classroom, then head into the field to conduct your own research — like spending three weeks in Montana at Geology Field Camp.

Our geology program is specifically designed to prepare students for the ASBOG exam to become licensed geologists.

Graduates can work in a range of fields within geology such as hydrology, engineering geology, paleontology, geophysics, and more. Or specialize further by earning a graduate degree in related fields like chemistry, biology, mathematics, or physics!
