The Francophone studies curriculum at Saint Joseph s University consists of ten courses in which you will explore Francophone cultures and history through a variety of perspectives while enhancing your French language abilities. All students take FRE 325: The Francophone World or a substitute course in French or Francophone culture and civilization, along with at least four additional French courses. The other five courses may be in English and allow students to focus on broad areas such as culture and society, historical and political frameworks and conceptual foundations.
