The French section offers beginning and intermediate courses in the French Language and upper division courses at the 300 hundred level in advanced grammar, composition and conversation. Both oral and written skills are emphasized. In addition we offer culture, literature and film courses as well as advanced special topic courses covering economic and political issues. The staff is made up of qualified professors in Teaching Methodology, Literature, Film and Literary theory. Students receive a comprehensive education ranging from basic conversational skills to advanced reasoned critical thinking.
Completed application for admission, A high school diploma (official transcript with graduation date required), An Overall Grade Point Average of at least 2.00 on a 4.00 scale and a composite score of at least 19 on the ACT or SAT equivalent; OR an Overall Grade Point Average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale and a composite score of at least 16 on the ACT or SAT equivalent, Test scores: Internet-based TOEFL score of 78 or higher, Paper-based TOEFL score of 547 or higher, IELTS score of 6.0 or higher, MELAB - minimum score of 79%.
