Caldwell University’s B.A. in Spanish for the Professions is designed to give students the comprehensive knowledge and skills needed in the helping professions, public policy, or business. By combining language and cultural/policy courses, our students become well-prepared to succeed in these fields. The major consists of three tracks, each with the same language component. A senior-year internship will serve as the Outcomes Assessment.
Caldwell University offers small class sizes with experienced faculty who are committed to your success. We provide a student-centered experience that is both challenging and approachable, with opportunities to study abroad. Our unique Dominican heritage is evident in our courses as we seek the “truth” through fact-finding, dialogue, and engagement. Our students can select from one of four tracks: Public Policy, Business, Helping Professions, and Pre-Law.
The skills that students acquire in our Spanish for the Professions program are easily applicable to many fields in the modern workplace. In a globalized, multilingual world, being able to speak another language gives our majors an advantage in a competitive marketplace. Our graduates have careers in business, education, translation, cultural organizations, healthcare, law enforcement, social services, tourism, and communications.
