University History

Caldwell University is a Catholic University based in Caldwell, New Jersey. The University was first got established as a Catholic Liberal Arts College by the Sisters of Saint Dominic. In the year 1939, the college was known to be an institution of higher learning for women. Then in the year 1974, it became one of the first institutions in New Jersey to award a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. In 1986, it also allowed male candidates to receive education at the esteemed institution. The institution over the years has been able to open up various departments that invited more and more applications every year.

Caldwell University USP and Achievements

In 1974, Caldwell University became the first institution in New Jersey to award its students the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. In 1979, it became one of the few institutions in the state to offer a unique external degree program.  In 2020, Caldwell University was awarded two grants from the National Science Foundation for the research. In 2000, Caldwell became the first higher education institution in the entire New Jersey to offer a specialization in art therapy. The first post-graduate M.A. in art therapy was added in 2008. Caldwell University is located in suburban New Jersey, and it is about 20 miles from Manhattan. It is on a seventy-acre campus that has all the facilities available in the campus. Caldwell University Library

Caldwell University Library is named the Jennings Library. The Jennings Library has a dynamic space where students can study from early in the morning until late at night. There are workspaces available including individual carrels, computer workstations, a teaching and computer lab, a research commons, and group study rooms. The first floor of the library has space for Collaborative Research Environment and the second floor has Aquos Board. The library has nearly 145,000 print sources and more than 90,000 eBooks. It also maintains an extensive streaming video and music collection. The library also provides access to 168 print periodicals and more than 47,500 electronic journals and serves as a gateway to a wide array of scholarly databases that support research across disciplines. On-Campus: Caldwell University Housing services can accommodate up to 600 students across its three buildings. There are double rooms, double suites, single suites, and double-single shared bathrooms with all the facilities. The residential halls are as follows:

Off-Campus: The housing varies in price, convenience, location, condition, and type of accommodation.
