The Interdisciplinary Educational Studies major is designed to prepare students to teach elementary school and earn a multiple subject California preliminary teaching credential. There are two pathways to achieve these goals:The traditional program consists of four years to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree and two semesters of graduate study through the Department of Learning and Teaching to secure a California preliminary credential. Standard admission procedures apply. Transfer students are welcome.The integrated program provides a course of study that allows qualified students to complete their Bachelor of Arts degree and their Californian preliminary multiple subject credential in four years. Students must be approved by the Director of Liberal Studies after University admissions for this program.
Official high school transcripts, Official SAT or ACT test results , International students must submit proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS or PTE): Minimum TOEFL score of 213 computer-based; 550 paper-based; or 79 internet-based. Minimum IELTS score: 6.5. Minimum Pearsons (PTE Academic) score: 58. Completion of ELS 149
