Program Overview

The Interdisciplinary Studies Major is available to students in the Bachelor's Degree Completion (BDC) Program. The major provides students the opportunity to examine intellectual questions and social problems from multiple perspectives. Drawing on a number of fields that may include business, ethnic studies, sociology, English, education, and more, students can customize their major. In a rapidly changing world, students need a breadth of training across disciplines and an ability to use multiple tools and perspectives to solve problems. Interdisciplinary Studies provides students a unique, individualized major that includes the study of research methods and theories applicable across a variety of fields.
