Program Overview

The Athletic Training Program at Murray State University is closing due to budget cuts within the institution. We are hopeful that once our financial status stabilizes, we may be able to offer the program again in the future. For students who are interested in pursuing a career in athletic training: You are welcome to attend Murray State University and pursue a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. After obtaining your undergraduate degree, you will be eligible to attend a graduate school of your choosing to pursue a master's degree in Athletic Training. The goal is to provide athletic training students both the didactic (classroom) knowledge and the clinical experience to pass the BOC (Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer) Exam and become a successful entry-level health care professional in a variety of settings.

High School Diploma OR Graduation Certificate, Transcripts for all years of high school with a minimum GPA of 2.0, Minimum SAT score of 910 with minimum of 450 on Reading section, Degree from a secondary school located in a country where English is the native language, British / Cambridge International Examinations: GCE, GCSE, IGCSE, AICE, or the HIGCSE certificate with five O-Level subject passes, TOEFL ibT of 71 minimum on Academic Test with no band less than 16, IELTS 6.0 minimum on Academic Test with no band less than 5.0
