The Philosophy major at the University of Georgia is designed to guide students in the systematic investigation of the nature of reality, knowledge, value, and obligation through study and assessment of major figures of western philosophical tradition.
International Application for Undergraduate Admission, High School Transcripts (secondary school), College Transcripts from each institution attended during high school, Test scores: SAT, ACT, TOEFL score of at least 213 on the computer-based exam, or a 550 paper based score, or an 80 on the internet based, A band score of 6.5 in IELTS, Letter of Recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor, a School/Counselor Evaluation Letter. Profile Assessment: Undergraduate applicants interested in law may choose Pre-Law, Political Science, Economics, History, Philosophy, International Relations or another field. Debate, Model United Nations, mock trials, student government, journalism, advocacy, research and community service may demonstrate critical thinking and communication.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
