Students earning a Journalism (BA) degree will study reporting, writing and editing to prepare themselves for a career as a multimedia journalist. Students will study established and emerging media to gain the skills necessary to compete effectively in broadcast, print and digital media. Students who choose the News and Media Studies (BS) degree will learn the basics of creating and distributing messages in media. The interdisciplinary major provides students with a broad understanding of modern communication through offerings both inside and outside the Bob Schieffer College of Communication.
