The Mass Media Studies program at the School of Communication breaks down the social, legal, political, historical, and economic factors that influence modern media. Herbert School Mass Media Studies students then apply this in-depth knowledge to a variety of career paths or advance study in fields such as law, management, politics, and education.

Journalism, school publications, podcasting, filmmaking, photography, social-media projects, debate and communication campaigns may strengthen the profile. Some film or media programs may request a creative portfolio, writing sample or supplementary submission.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
