We have revised our curriculum to more closely reflect the direction of the mass communication industry. Our curriculum focuses on giving students a solid grounding in the fundamentals of mass communication such as writing, interviewing, editing and problem solving while focusing on how to effectively use the latest digital, mobile and social media outlets available. Our students emerge from Texas Wesleyan with a portfolio of professional-level work and experiences that are tailored to their own career goals. Small classes allow us to work with area nonprofits to create award-winning public relations campaigns and award-winning newsletters and multimedia websites that include audio, video, photos and text. A required semester of work in Rambler Media Group, Texas Wesleyan,s award-winning multi-platform student media group, provides students with deadline-oriented experience in news media and an integrated marketing communications firm. Texas Wesleyan is located within a top 5 media market. Our faculty members work with local news media as well as advertising and public relations professionals to schedule tours and classroom visits throughout the year. This gives students unique insight and connections that can help build their career. We are here to pave your way into the professional world of mass communication. Come see what we have to offer.
