Program Overview

As a Habilitation of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing major, you ll get the practical experience and preparation you need to teach deaf and hard-of-hearing students in public or private school systems, or to begin graduate study in a selected educational or clinical area associated with deafness.Listen closely, since your curriculum includes three semesters of clinical practice teaching deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) students.The first two semesters will involve teaching a DHH student on an individual basis in TCU s acclaimed Miller Speech and Hearing Clinic. Your third clinical semester will place you in a real-world educational setting teaching deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Certified educators of DHH students will serve as your mentors.
