Program Overview

The Gerontology minor and concentration programs are open to all students with an interest in learning about current concepts and trends, as well as research and advocacy related to gerontology. Available resources and practical considerations for careers working with older adults in a variety of settings are examined. Administered through the psychology department, the program promotes reflective examination of attitudes, perspectives and beliefs about aging. Experiential service learning opportunities prepare students to enter the workplace or graduate studies.
