The pre-health qualification program at Gannon University is designed for adults who already hold a bachelor’s degree in any field and are seeking a career change. Students in this program complete the prerequisite coursework needed to apply to health professional programs in the field of medicine, pharmacy, chiropractic, dental medicine, optometry, podiatric medicine or veterinary medicine.
Application Completed Secondary School Examinations or High School Diploma Official transcripts. Completion of four years of science courses at the high school level (biology and chemistry courses are required, while physics is highly recommended) Completion of four years of math courses at the high school level Cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale Minimum SAT score of 1130 (new SAT)/1050 (old SAT) or ACT composite score of 23 One letter of recommendation Official copies of academic records from each secondary/high school attended accompanied by official, literal English translations. TOEFL iBT: 79 or IELTS 6.5 overall. Statement of Purpose Submit the affidavit of support form which is required for verification of financial resources in order to issue the I-20. Original bank statements verifying account balances & Original letters from bank officials written in English on bank letterhead verifying the account holder, account number and current balance in U.S. dollars.
