Research in genetics and genomic sciences is not only reaching ever-new horizons, but also impacting the health and well being of individuals, communities, and entire populations. Research and training in Genetics and Genomic Sciences at UAB is led by world-renowned experts and scholars in genetics. The cumulative experience of researchers at UAB creates an excellent environment that facilitates both a broad and deep understanding of the field. The GGS undergraduate program begins in the fall of 2017, as a collaborative effort between the Department of Genetics in the School of Medicine, and the Department of Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences.
