Program Overview

Offering two tracks; entry-level and post-graduate the UTHSC HIIM program is 100 percent online, allowing working professionals the flexibility to acquire their degree when and how they desire. Students learn skills in design systems using MySQL, a leading database management system, and Lean Six Sigma for health care quality improvement. Combining business, data analysis, information technology, and health care, graduates are prepared to implement or develop systems from electronic health records to resources in health care data administration, quickly transitioning into leadership roles in health informatics.
