Anderson UniversityThe Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing trains traditional college-age students to become nurses who can work in pediatric, surgical, adult, geriatric, and other fields of nursing. It prepares undergraduates to take the National Council Licensure Examination and become a registered nurse. RNs serve in hospitals, hospices, homes, nursing homes, workplaces, schools, medical missions, the military, and other medical settings.
Complete Online Application, Official copy of high school transcripts or GED scores, minimum GPA of 3.0, Request Official SAT or ACT scores from their sites:SAT, ACT, Personal Statement, Submit Two Letters of Recommendation completed by a professor/teacher, employer, or pastor, Resume of extracurricular activities, Submit the necessary Health Forms, final transcripts from your guidance counselor after graduation, Completion of a TEAS exam (ATI) and a score of 60. The TEAS may be taken a maximum of two (2) times to achieve this score, Submit official transcripts of all college coursework from all institutions you've attended, Personal interview with the admission committee of the School of Nursing, Completion of all required General Education prerequisites US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Applicants are generally expected to show strong preparation in Biology and Chemistry, with Mathematics or Physics helpful for some programs. Healthcare volunteering, public-health initiatives, scientific research, first-aid training, community service and supervised clinical exposure may demonstrate empathy, responsibility and understanding of healthcare. Requirements differ considerably by program, particularly for direct-entry Nursing, Pharmacy and allied-health degrees.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
