The Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree prepares students for a variety of entry level nursing careers and provides an educational foundation necessary to be able to sit for the Registered Nurse National Council Licensure Examination (RN-NCLEX). CU's nursing curriculum will provide students with a background in nursing knowledge, theory, and research. It will also focus on both direct and indirect patient care for individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations
Submission of a formal application to the nursing program. Scores at 70% or above on the Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) pre-entrance exam Cumulative GPA of 3.0 Sophomore standing - and grade of “C” or higher in all science and math prerequisite courses. Applicants must provide official copies of academic records from all secondary, pre-university programs, and colleges/universities attended. TOEFL iBT: 60 or IELTS 6.0 overall. A clear criminal background check. A negative drug screen result. A physical completed by a Primary Care Physician or Nurse Practitioner, including up to date immunizations.
