The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is designed to prepare a competent, self-directed, general practitioner of nursing who can assume increasing responsibility and leadership in the delivery of nursing care. In consideration of the preparation of a general practitioner, all individuals who apply for admission and are enrolled in the undergraduate program must be able to perform the essential functions required of a registered nurse.
Official transcripts from the previously attended schools, High school transcripts, Posses quivalent of a U.S. high school diploma with a minimum gpa of 2.5, SAT and ACT test scores (minimum score of 980 for SAT and 22 for ACT), English language profeciency test scores (A TOEFL Internet-Based Test (IBT) score of 79 or greater, An IELTS score of 6.5 or greater) US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Applicants are generally expected to show strong preparation in Biology and Chemistry, with Mathematics or Physics helpful for some programs. Healthcare volunteering, public-health initiatives, scientific research, first-aid training, community service and supervised clinical exposure may demonstrate empathy, responsibility and understanding of healthcare. Requirements differ considerably by program, particularly for direct-entry Nursing, Pharmacy and allied-health degrees.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
