The BSN Direct Admit for Freshmen pathway provides a unique opportunity for students coming directly out of high school, allowing admission to the College of Nursing and opportunities to get involved and build relationships from their first day on campus. Admitted students complete their prerequisites as nursing students and have access to additional College of Nursing resources, including academic advisors; organized study groups; and tutoring, workshops, and additional activities
Transcripts from the previously attended schools, High school transcripts, ACT or SAT test scores, English language profeciency (Minimum scores of 79-80 TOEFL iBT and IELTS 6.5 ) US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Applicants are generally expected to show strong preparation in Biology and Chemistry, with Mathematics or Physics helpful for some programs. Healthcare volunteering, public-health initiatives, scientific research, first-aid training, community service and supervised clinical exposure may demonstrate empathy, responsibility and understanding of healthcare. Requirements differ considerably by program, particularly for direct-entry Nursing, Pharmacy and allied-health degrees.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
