Students with an associate degree or who have completed a hospital-based diploma program and want to further their education may consider the RN to BSN pathway. This program combines on-campus lectures from expert faculty, community-focused research in Wayne State laboratories and clinical experiences in locations throughout the Detroit area to prepare them to address health challenges facing urban populations.
Transcripts from the previously attended schools, High school transcripts, ACT or SAT test scores, English language profeciency (Minimum scores of 79-80 TOEFL iBT and IELTS 6.5 ) US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Applicants are generally expected to show strong preparation in Biology and Chemistry, with Mathematics or Physics helpful for some programs. Healthcare volunteering, public-health initiatives, scientific research, first-aid training, community service and supervised clinical exposure may demonstrate empathy, responsibility and understanding of healthcare. Requirements differ considerably by program, particularly for direct-entry Nursing, Pharmacy and allied-health degrees.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
