Program Overview

The College of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia offers the Doctor of Pharmacy degree to students who successfully complete a six-year sequence of prescribed courses. Students take a minimum of 146 credit hourse and must be in residency at the College of Pharmacy. Courses include study of biochemical disease, pharmacy intercommunication, human physiology, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, drug interactions, drug policy, and others. A capstone course during the last three semesters involves development of a patient care portfolio, presentations to health care professionals, and community service learning.
