Program Overview

TCU s Pre-Health Professions Institute has been helping prepare future physicians, dentists, physician assistants and veterinarians for professional school since 1913. TCU students are accepted into health professions schools at rates well above the national average, for example, the medical school acceptance rate for TCU students is typically about twice the national average.The Pre-Health Professions program prepares you for admission to professional schools in dentistry, medicine, podiatric medicine, veterinary medicine, and optometry, as well as physician assistant and pharmacy programs. Students in the pre-health professions program receive one-on-one advising with Health Professions Advisory Committee faculty members each semester, access to our bi-monthly health professions seminar series, mock interviews, application workshops and opportunities to participate in our clinical observation and internship programs and conduct research with faculty.
