Program Overview

The B.S in Radiologic Sciences (a 2+2 program with the University of Mississippi Medical Center) prepares students for a dynamic profession that is ever changing in terms of technology and professional expertise. Radiologic science is a specialized field in which professional specialists perform medical imaging procedures for the purpose of diagnosing disease and injury. The radiologic technologist is responsible for performing a variety of challenging and interesting examinations on a diverse patient population. Those procedures include conventional radiography, fluoroscopy, and surgical studies.
