BS Applied Mathematics

The course topics include vectors and the geometry of space, functions of several variables, vector-valued functions, partial derivatives, extreme values, multiple integrals, vector fields, line and surface integrals, Green's Theorem, Stokes' Theorem, the Divergence Theorem, and applications of the preceding in the sciences.Basic probability models, generating functions and conditional probability, also discrete and continuous, univariate and bivariate distributions of random variables. Concepts of estimation, tests of hypothesis and statistical inference.
