The importance of applied mathematics is especially important for students who wish to work in the Financial or Banking industry or attend a solid GRADUATE PROGRAMS. The LTU applied mathematics concentrations are designed for this purpose. LTU offers two concentrations; Actuarial Science and Applied Science. Each of these programs combines current mathematics curriculum with a strong foundation in either the natural or applied sciences.
