Texas State University students must complete a mathematics course at the level of college algebra or higher. To satisfy this requirement, the Department of Mathematics offers a variety of courses including Math 1315, 1316, and 1319. These three courses require one of the following scores: at least 510 on the SAT (as of March 2016), or at least 21 on the ACT, or at least 270 on the TASP, or at least 26 on the mathematics placement exam offered by University Testing Center. If this prerequisite is not met, students need to take Math 1311, and if needed Math 1300.
Graduation from a US High School with a GPA of 2.5 in the courses, SAT and ACT scores, English Test Minimum Scores: TOEFL- 78, each section - 19 and writing - 18 ; IELTS- 6.5 Overall.
