University of Texas at San AntonioAt UTSA you can earn a Mathematics degree with a concentration in either Mathematics or General Mathematical Studies. The Mathematics concentration will teach you how to provide technical support and conduct research for high-technology industries, government and private companies. The General Mathematical Studies concentration will help you obtain a state certification to teach mathematics in either middle and high school. Both concentrations will teach you how to apply theories and techniques to solve practical problems and can serve as a stepping stone to graduate school and becoming a professional mathematician. Concentrations are declared after you ve been admitted and have met with your academic advisor.
