Our Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice program will prepare you for careers across various levels of law enforcement, victim advocacy, reentry services, corrections, probation, parole, and much more.
The robust internship program at Caldwell University allows students the opportunity to intern at sites in the field to learn more about careers in criminal justice. Our internship sites have included New Jersey State Police, Drug Enforcement Administration, Caldwell Police Department, New Jersey State Parole Board, and Department of Homeland Security. Students have also pursued research internships to study various aspects in the criminal justice field under the direction of department faculty, including projects related to the preschool-to-prison pipeline, reentry and social support for the aging population across New Jersey, and racial disparities in the criminal legal system.
Outside of academics, opportunities abound for students to expand their knowledge of the criminal justice system with their peers. The Criminal Justice and Sociology Club remains an active and fun place for our students! Recent events include Drug Enforcement Administration Women in Law Enforcement Session, Coffee with a Cop, and our annual Murder Mystery Night.
