The Department's greatest asset is its faculty, each member of which holds a doctorate from the nation's finest institutions. We pride ourselves on serving as master teachers and as mentors to our students. We expect them to learn to think, read, write, and speak effectively, and to acquire foundational knowledge in their chosen fields of study. In so doing, we strive to produce graduates with the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and desire for life-long learning that will enable them to be leaders in their communities and on the global stage.
