The master's degree program in Molecular & Cellular Biology was designed for students who seek advanced preparation for professional school, e.g. MD, DO, DVM, PharmD, etc., or future careers in industry, government, or academia.
We offer a wide selection of courses that span several major disciplinary areas: Biochemistry, Cell & Developmental Biology, Microbiology, Molecular & Integrative Physiology, and Neuroscience. Students can also take advanced laboratory courses to develop lab skills that may be useful in their future vocation. This program does not include a research thesis component.
Application A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States, or an equivalent degree. Profile Assessment: Science applicants are generally assessed on the rigour of their Mathematics and laboratory-science coursework. Relevant preparation may include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus or Statistics, depending on the intended field. Research, science fairs, Olympiads, laboratory exposure, independent investigation and environmental or community-science projects can demonstrate scientific curiosity and analytical thinking.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
