Students completing a major in Chemistry will study all five areas of chemistry: organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry and biochemistry. Students will develop knowledge in spectral analysis, chemical literature, chemical research and learn advanced topics in chemistry taught by experts in their fields. Graduates will also have a strong background in calculus and physics, and have the option to complete minors in both areas. Chemistry majors must complete a research project and are encouraged to present their results at a professional meeting.
