A bachelor s degree in chemistry opens many avenues and provides many career options. Nationwide, about 60 percent of graduates enter the workforce in industries such as chemical, food, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Others enter graduate school to get a Ph.D. in chemistry or work in higher education and scientific research and development.
