BS Chemistry

The Chemistry program at Youngstown State University gives you the opportunity to make your degree work for you. In addition to choosing your study track, you'll get hands-on experience with equipment as early as freshman year --- an advantage that upperclassmen usually only anticipate. The new X-Ray Diffraction Lab is second to none in Ohio, and several other chemistry facilities allow you to work alongside professors on research. At least six undergraduates in the program can apply for positions as student researchers through a grant from the National Science Foundation. Research opportunities like these, along with your education, are elements for success during your college career and into the future.
