Youngstown State University History

Youngstown State University was established in 1908 and is located in Youngstown, Ohio. The YMCA established a school of law in the Youngstown Association School which later came to be known as the Youngstown Institute of Technology. This further changed to Youngstown College which was renamed Youngstown University. The name Youngstown State University was formed as it was made a public institution.
